However, a sore throat causes a lot of discomforts, but the good news is that it can be managed at home with few home remedies.

  • Honey

Consumption of honey just as it is or mixed with hot water can ease out sore throat-related discomforts. Studies have shown that honey is more effective in treating nighttime cold and sore throat than cough suppressants.

Honey is also known as a good wound healer, so the soreness and the itchiness of the throat are relieved by honey.

  • Salt Water Gargle

Warm salt water gargle is another home remedy that relieves the condition. It can also reduce the amount of secretion and kill the bacteria in the throat. (Alprazolam)

For this solution, half a teaspoon of salt is taken in a glass of warm water. The gurgle should be repeated once every 3 hours to reduce the swelling of the throat and ease out the pain and the discomfort.

According to the recommendation of the National Cancer Institute, the gurgle solution should be made by mixing 1 cup of warm water, 1/4th and 1/8th teaspoon of baking soda and salt, respectively.

This solution should be used every three hours for gurgle or as it may be needed.
